Job Description
We’re looking for an experienced Platform Engineer to help the continued shaping of our technology delivery, including internal developer tools, HPC infrastructure, and storage solutions.
The successful candidate will create and sustain robust, scalable systems that empower our engineers and developers to conduct advanced simulations and software development.
The main aim is to ensure our environment remains reliable, efficient, and seamlessly integrated with modern cloud-native tools.
Main Responsibilities:
* Maintain and improve Kubernetes, Kafka, and other internal platforms for engineering and software development teams.
* Enable self-service capabilities by developing standard approaches to system delivery and management.
* Drive best practices for container orchestration and observability.
* Develop automation for system provisioning, scaling, and maintenance using infrastructure as code principles.
* Create proactive monitoring, alerting, and logging strategies to support system reliability goals.
* Collaborate with operations, support, and application teams to ensure seamless technology delivery and align platform improvements with business needs.
Essential Accountabilities:
* Strong Linux skills and experience in scripting or programming (Python, Bash, Go).
* Proficiency in Kubernetes, Kafka, and similar cloud native technologies.
* Experience designing and implementing automated deployment and configuration management (Ansible, Terraform).
* Ability to diagnose and resolve complex system challenges across compute, storage, and software platforms.
* Familiarity with HPC technologies such IBM LSF is desirable.
