MoreToMurphy A day in the life of an IT Project Manager Develop and manage effective relationships with key customers and business stakeholders Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables and define project tasks and resource requirements Develop and maintain full scale project plans, setting out key milestones with realistic dates, ensuring what is in and out scope for each project is clearly identified, signed off and recorded Assemble project team resources, including external development partners and manage project resource allocation Ensure interdependencies for each project are identified and that all those involved clearly understand their role, responsibilities and deliverables and how these will impact on delivering the project Manage project budget and benefits realisation and track and provide quality assurance of all project deliverables Manage external partner delivery to specifications and timescales Conduct periodic project evaluations and implement improvements to achieve project objectives Identify, maintain and report on the project opportunity, risk, mitigation, issues and dependencies Monitor project performance indicators and key metrics, proactively addressing deviations from plan and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
