Salary: £10,190.04 – £10,706.22 per annum, depending on experience. (Based on full time salary of £25,475.10 – £26,765.55) and inclusive of 5% High-Cost Area Allowance.
Hours: 15 hours per week (2 days within a 7 day trading week)
Overview of the role
St Clare Hospice is a charity that provides specialist palliative care to patients and families in West Essex and the East Hertfordshire borders.
This is a hugely exciting time to join St Clare Hospice Retail and this is a great role for someone looking to develop their management skills further within a busy charity Retail environment.
The Assistant Manager‘s role is to support the shop manager in running a professional charity outlet by providing the highest level of customer service, donor acknowledgement and volunteer management. You will also help raise the profile of the Hospice in the local community.
The successful applicant will have retail experience, excellent customer service and visual merchandising skills as well as a good understanding of working with volunteers, although full training will be provided for the right applicant. An excellent knowledge of books is essential, knowledge of music is desirable.
