We currently provide a wide range of cardiac diagnostics for both inpatient and outpatient services for residents of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. With the addition of new team members, we will be striving to develop our range of Physiologist Led services.
Applicants should have a BSc in Clinical Physiology (cardiology) or equivalent. This post is suitable for Physiologists with substantive experience who can demonstrate critical thinking and reasoning. This role is full time: 37.5 hours per week + on call commitment.
Main Duties of the Job
The Royal Cornwall Hospital, Truro, is the main provider of acute healthcare to the majority of Cornwall’s residents. Cardiology Services offer a comprehensive range of investigations and treatments appropriate to a large DGH.
We are seeking a candidate who shares our values and commitment to ensuring the quality of our services. We encourage open engagement in service design and delivery, and seek an individual eager to share knowledge and ideas.
You will be part of a team delivering a wide range of non-invasive and invasive specialist procedures including interventional procedures and device implants and follow-ups. Participation on the on-call rota is essential.
Non-invasive investigations include exercise tolerance testing, HUTT, and a range of Holter services.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* BSc Clinical Physiology or HTEC MPPM (Medical Physics & Physiological Measurement) or equivalent.
* ILS or ALS certification.
* Other accredited modules or formally assessed skills & knowledge competencies.
* Professional registration on the Academy of Healthcare Science (AHCS/RCCP/BSE).

* Non-invasive experience (ETT, HUTT, Holter)
Experience
* Substantial experience in cardiac physiology with knowledge of a range of cardiac diagnostic procedures.
* Ability to take responsibility for administrative duties and demonstrate previous organizational skills.
