About The Role
The Inbound Operations Warehouse Manager oversees the efficient and timely receipt, storage, and distribution of incoming goods within the warehouse. This role is responsible for managing the inbound logistics process, including unloading, inventory control, quality checks, and ensuring optimal storage practices. The Inbound Operations Warehouse Manager leads a team of warehouse staff, coordinates with suppliers and logistics partners, and ensures that all inbound operations adhere to company standards, safety regulations, and budgetary constraints.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Inbound Process Management:
o Manage all inbound warehouse operations, including unloading, receiving, and storing goods.
o Ensure timely processing and accurate documentation of inbound shipments.
o Coordinate with procurement, transportation, and suppliers to optimize inbound schedules and reduce delays.
2. Inventory Control:
o Monitor inventory levels to ensure accuracy and compliance with warehouse procedures.
o Implement quality control checks to validate goods received against purchase orders and resolve any discrepancies.
o Ensure proper labeling, storage, and rotation of products to maintain inventory integrity and prevent damage.
3. Team Leadership and Development:
o Recruit, train, and supervise a team of warehouse staff, including receiving clerks and material handlers.
o Set team goals, monitor performance, and provide coaching to improve efficiency and productivity.
o Foster a positive work environment focused on safety, teamwork, and accountability.
4. Operational Efficiency:
o Identify and implement process improvements to enhance receiving efficiency and reduce lead times.
o Track and report key inbound metrics, such as accuracy, processing time, and receiving cost, to senior management.
o Collaborate with outbound and fulfillment teams to ensure a smooth flow of products through the warehouse.
5. Safety and Compliance:
o Ensure all inbound operations adhere to safety and regulatory standards, including OSHA compliance.
o Conduct regular safety inspections, train employees on safety protocols, and address any hazards or risks.
o Develop and maintain SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for all inbound operations to ensure consistency and compliance.
6. Budget Management:
o Manage inbound operational costs, including labor, equipment, and storage, to stay within budget.
o Collaborate with senior management to forecast and control expenses related to inbound logistics.
o Propose cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or safety standards.
About You
Qualifications:
* 5+ years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership role, specifically in inbound logistics.
* Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP systems.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
* Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
* Strong communication and leadership abilities, with experience in leading cross-functional teams.
* Knowledge of safety and regulatory requirements for warehouse operations (e.g., OSHA).

* Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures.
* Requires regular physical activity, including lifting, standing, and walking.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, if necessary.
