Duty Manager/ Night Porter Emergency Planning College, York YO61 3EG Maternity Cover - 14 Months Shift work nights: 10:30pm-7am, 40 hours per week, 5 shifts per week £28,136.36 per annum plus benefits At Serco, we’re recruiting for a Duty Manager/Night Porter to join our team at the Emergency Planning College in York. You’ll ensure guests receive a warm, memorable, and personalised welcome, setting the scene for their stay and assisting with any requests. Helping to keep everything running smoothly during night shifts, you’ll carry out administrative tasks accurately and on time. You will also work with our Security Contractor to ensure the security of the building and our guests overnight, clean and set-up meeting rooms and public areas, and deliver tasks to the agreed standards and requirements. Additionally, as needed, you’ll support with events held at the college, working efficiently and collaboratively to deliver excellent service throughout. The wide range of events we hold includes seminars, conferences, dinners and more, bringing plenty of variety to the role. What will you be doing? You’ll be highly customer focused, working independently and making decisions effectively to deliver a great experience.
