CrossCountry are currently seeking a Head of Industrial Relations who will be responsible for leading and overseeing all industrial relations activities within the organisation. This role involves working closely with the HR team, Senior Management, Operations and employee representatives to ensure that workplace relations remain positive, fair, and legally compliant. The Head of Industrial Relations will play a key role in managing disputes, conducting negotiations, and fostering a cooperative work environment. This role will also be responsible for leading a team of IR experts including Group Head / Chair of respective company councils. Principal Accountabilities Industrial Relations Strategy Development: Develop and implement industrial relations strategies and policies aligned with the company’s overall objectives. Ensure that the organization adheres to all Employment laws and collective agreements Negotiations & Collective Bargaining: Lead negotiations with unions regarding collective agreements, salary reviews, benefits, working conditions, and other terms of employment. Act as the company’s representative during union discussions. Dispute Resolution: Manage and resolve disputes ensuring a balanced and fair resolution that supports both employee and company interests. Industrial Relations Reporting: Oversee the preparation and maintenance of reports related to industrial relations issues. Provide senior management with regular updates on union relations issues, key challenges, and opportunities. Performance and Risk Management: Identify potential risks in industrial relations and work proactively to mitigate them. Track and report on key performance indicators related to union activities. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with trade unions, internal and external stakeholders involved in industrial relations. The Head of Industrial Relations is an essential role in maintaining a healthy work environment by balancing the needs and rights of employees with the organisation’s goals and compliance requirements. Experience, Knowledge, Qualifications & Training Essential: Project Management Experience of working with Trade Unions Ability to communicate with all levels. Computer literate (Word, Excel, Access etc). Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise.
