Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Finance Assistant provides front line administrative support to the Finance team with a particular focus on Accounts Payable.
ROLE DUTIES
* Processing supplier invoices in a timely manner.
* Liaise with departmental managers to ensure invoices approved in a timely manner.
* Liaise with suppliers to reconcile accounts and resolve queries.
* Raise purchase orders as requested.
* Set up new suppliers.
* Process staff and student expenses, ensure they are authorised, and in line with company policy.
* Reconciling credit card statements.
* Other ad-hoc support within finance.
CORE COMPETENCIES
* Previous administrative experience, preferably within a Finance team, although not essential.
* Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
* Confident and competent user of Microsoft Office Suite, including excellent Excel skills, and the ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* A flexible and adaptable approach to work.
* Right to live and work in the UK.
SALARY
£25,000 to £27,000 (depending on experience)
