We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our team and assist with the processing of funding applications for procedures which may require prior approval from the Commissioner.

You will work in a small, enthusiastic and busy team currently supporting services at our Broomfield Site.

· To process and log all patient funding requests and forward to the various ICB’s for approval
· To understand and use the various Commissioners’ Service Restriction Policies, keeping abreast of any changes and advising relevant departments accordingly
· To understand 18 weeks referral to treatment (RTT) pathway rules in order to prioritise funding for elective patients effectively
· To liaise with Consultants, Medical secretary’s, GP Practices, ICBs and patients to complete funding applications and obtain missing information
· To work alongside, and cooperatively, with Patient Access staff and other Admin teams to ensure a seamless process from beginning to end
· To recognise patients on a cancer pathway and liaise with Cancer Services MDT co-ordinators to ensure patients are dealt with appropriately
· To oversee the administration of funding requests to the relevant ICB to ensure that the Commissioner’s Clinical Priority Policy is met
