Job Description
DUTIES: All staff employed at the school will implement all reasonable requests or instructions given by the Headteacher and/or his/her representative. All staff should, without exception, act in accordance with school policies.
Job Purpose
* Ensure that the children within the catchment area of Ardudwy are central to everything we do.
* To undertake, as part of a team, the cleaning of designated areas within the school premises to ensure that they are kept in a clean and hygienic condition.
Main Duties:
* Cleaning, washing, sweeping and vacuum cleaning.
* Emptying litter bins.
* Polishing and dusting of designated areas including furniture and fixtures.
* Cleaning toilets and shower areas, replenish toilet paper and soap.
* There is a requirement, when appropriate, to use powered equipment.
* The duties may vary between terms and school closure periods.
* There will, on occasions, be a requirement for you to move between areas.
* Responsibility for self-development.
* Ensuring compliance with the rules for Health and Safety in the workplace as defined in the Health and Safety in the Workplace Act 1974 and the School's Health and Safety Policy.
* Complying with the School's Equal Opportunity and Equality policies.
* Responsibility for managing information in accordance with the School's standards and guidelines. Ensuring that personal information is treated in accordance with Data Protection legislation.
* Commitment to reduce the School's carbon emissions in accordance with the Carbon Management Plan and to encourage others to work positively towards reducing the School's/Council's carbon footprint.
* Undertake any other reasonable duties relevant to the nature and scale of the post, in accordance with reasonable requests from the Line Manager.
* Responsibility to report any worry or suspicion that a child or vulnerable adult is being abused.
