Aspire People is looking for a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work full-time in SEN settings across Swadlincote. This is a temp-to-perm role, with the opportunity to transition to a school contract after the probation period.
About the Role
Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Swadlincote
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent
Hours: Full-time (Monday to Friday)
Requirements
1. Hold a valid UK driving license (essential - applications without this will not be considered).
2. Have experience working with SEN students in an educational or care setting.
3. Be available to work 5 days a week.
4. Demonstrate patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to students' individual needs.
5. Be confident in managing challenging behaviors and supporting students' development.
Responsibilities
1. Provide 1:1 or small group support to children with Special Educational Needs.
2. Assist with implementing tailored learning programs and strategies.
3. Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment that supports student well-being and learning.
4. Collaborate with teaching staff and external professionals to ensure students' needs are met.
5. Support the academic, emotional, and social development of SEN students.
