As an SEN Teaching Assistant, your role will stretch far more than assisting with teaching. You will be supporting students aged 11 - 19 with Severe, Complex, and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties, and ASD.
These SEN Teaching Assistant roles are suitable for someone with SEN experience, particularly PMLD & SLD; however, the school is also interested in graduates with a keen interest in SEN, Teaching, and Child-Psychology.
This SEN school is keen to take on graduate teaching assistants and provide them with experience of leading a class, perfect for aspiring teachers, therapists, or psychologists.
For those who prefer a career as a teaching assistant, the school also offers opportunities to become a TA2, where you are responsible for supporting a specialism in a classroom setting.
The school is looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team to provide support in the following aspects:
1. Work with children who have a range of complex needs, including learning, behavioural, and physical needs.
2. Demonstrate resilience in managing the behaviour of children with complex needs.
3. Remain calm under pressure and be able to adapt to change quickly.
