Post Title: Centre Manager
Hours: 30 hours per week (5 days over 7 days - covering staff leave/sickness where appropriate)
Rate of Pay: £14.50 per hour
Location: 19 Gomer street, Willenhall WV13 2NS
Responsible to: Board of Directors
Main Purpose of the Job:
The Centre Manager is responsible for assisting the Deputy Manager and staff with compliance across the organisation, particularly monitoring compliance and ensuring effective supervision, monitoring, and inductions for staff. The Centre Manager supports the Deputy Manager and team in achieving the aims and objectives of the Company and maintaining quality service to the local community in accordance with the Company's policies and procedures.
The Centre Manager will liaise with the Deputy Manager weekly to develop ideas and strategies to tackle issues and improve provision in the Chart Centre. The Centre Manager will report to the Board of Directors, bringing required documentation and ensuring all communications are clear and effective.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Carry out weekly inspections in Chart, conduct quality checks inside and outside the building, and perform appropriate assessments for all new projects.
2. Oversee daily operations of the organisation, including adequate staffing and resources.
3. Complete quality audits within Chart, generating reports relevant to the organisation and ensuring staff are informed where appropriate.
4. Deliver quality services to the local community, ensuring all activities meet community needs, comply with health & safety regulations, and follow centre policies and procedures.
5. Conduct reviews of the organisation, including updating the Development Plan and relevant Risk Assessments and documentation.
6. Conduct observations within Chart, including staff supervision, appraisals, and probationary meetings.
7. Communicate effectively with office staff and other internal and external stakeholders and attend relevant meetings.
8. Implement quality control procedures to ensure the organisation achieves the required level of compliance as a registered charity and limited company.
9. Ensure adherence to all legislations, policies, and procedures.
10. Maintain the environment and cleanliness of the centre to the highest standards.
11. Review emails daily.
12. Ensure monitoring and funding returns are submitted timely.
13. Ensure all Safeguarding compliance within the organisation and deliver training for staff compliance with regulations.
14. Recruit staff for various roles within the organisation, ensuring adherence to unconscious bias in recruitment.
15. Conduct unannounced evening/day checks to ensure compliance and staff performance.
16. Attend meetings that support and enhance the provision at the centre and for the community.
17. Cover the centre as required for staff sickness and holiday to ensure business continuity within contracted core hours.
18. Undertake other duties as requested by the Line Manager that are part of the role applied for.
1. Attention To Detail
1. Ensure compliance with the Standards and legislation governing the Chart Centre and other regulations.
2. Represent the company professionally in all communications, maintaining confidentiality per the Company's Confidentiality Policy.
3. Monitor the centre in the field to ensure quality targets are met and inform Directors of outcomes and issues.
4. Report any compliance or standards issues to the Directors concerning services and staff.
5. Check staff daily on all relevant paperwork, health and safety, compliance, standards, and environmental issues.
6. Conduct spot checks and health and safety checks as directed by the Directors.
7. Supervise staff performance, including regular supervisions, inductions, and probation.
8. Maintain accurate records and data.
9. Manage budgets and other financial duties, including reporting to the Board of Directors.
2. QUALITY ASSURANCE
1. Ensure compliance with agreed processes and procedures across Chart.
2. Propose new ideas to improve standards and liaise with Company Directors to devise new systems.
3. Impact the planning, implementation, and review of internal inspection activity.
4. Monitor non-compliance and lead addressing this with staff, documenting and communicating to the Directors.
HEALTH & SAFETY
1. Familiarize with the Company's obligations under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and other Health and Safety Regulations.
2. Complete online Health and Safety training.
3. Keep Company Directors informed of Health and Safety issues.
ADMINISTRATIVE
1. Ensure documents are kept and filed according to company GDPR and data protection policy.
2. Delegate duties effectively to minimize workload.
3. Perform any administrative duties required as part of the role.

1. Minimum of two years’ experience managing a community organisation, registered charity, and company limited by guarantee at a level reflecting the responsibilities of the post.
