To provide efficient and effective building maintenance support to the Urenco, Capenhurst and Birchwood sites, ensuring the general appearance of the buildings is maintained in accordance with the required standards. Observe safe working practices in carrying out the required duties and ensure that instructions specified by management are adhered to.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Driving Licence (full disclosure of all/any endorsements)
2. Joinery
3. Emergency light testing
4. Good communication skills with onsite personnel
5. Basic knowledge of building fabrication repair and decoration
6. IPAF 1b, 3a and 3b
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure that Planned Preventative Maintenance is carried out in line with task schedules and industry best practices.
2. Answer calls on fabric services as required and carry out surveys, highlighting major defects to management to enable quotations to be prepared.
3. Identify any defects found to Line Manager.
4. Attend site and carry out reactive repairs as instructed by the administration team.
5. Ensure that gullies, drains, etc. are kept free from debris.
6. Undertake specific duties as outlined below:
1. Final exit door checks around site.
2. Fire door checks around site.
3. Legionella tap temperature testing and tap de-scaling.
4. Emergency light testing.
5. Brick and block work.
6. Wall and floor tiling.
7. Monitor stock levels of consumables and arrange to replenish supplies including requisition, storage, and distribution of such items.
8. Maintain appropriate records for logbooks.
9. Assist and host personnel visiting the site such as contractors.
