Job Description:
Wincanton is offering the opportunity for HGV Class 1 Lorry Driver to join our delivery team in Bellshill on the prestigious Howdens site.
* £33,955.68 per annum
* Shift pattern - Monday to Friday
* 45 to 60 hours per week
* Dayshift & Nightshift Available
* Start times ranges for Days - 04:00 to 07:00 & Nights - 15:30 to 17:30
* Overtime rate applies after 45 hours
* One night out per week
How will you contribute?
* You will be responsible for the accurate and timely movement and delivery of our customers’ products.
* The job will involve loading chipboard.
* Ensuring all documentation is completed accurately with attention to detail.
* Adhering to safe working practices to ensure the safety of yourself and others at all times.
* Complying with all relevant legislation in line with Drivers Hours and Working Time Directive requirements (opt out available).
* Responsible for the Health and Safety of themselves and others, completion of dynamic risk assessments, adhering to safe working practices and the Health & Safety at Work Act, including accident, incident, and damage reporting.
* To ensure contractual KPI’s over delivery of product is undertaken in both a legally compliant and health and safety manner.
* Attending any relevant training as required to ensure you remain fully equipped to perform your role effectively and to assist in the development of continuous improvement.
* Keep the vehicle you use clean, tidy, and well cared for, so it is ready to be used the next day.
Experience and Qualifications:
* Must have valid in date Class 1 licence
* Must have valid in date CPC
* Must hold Digital tachograph card
* Must not have more than 6 points on licence
* Must have minimum 12 months HGV Class 1 driving experience
* Good timekeeper and able to work unsupervised
* Must be fully flexible on working hours
* Enthusiastic and reliable with a commitment to delivering first class customer service
* Must have good communication skills and a flexible can-do attitude to work
* Must have a good geographical knowledge
