Teaching Assistants required to support pupils across KS1-KS2 at a Primary School in Barking & Dagenham rated "Good" by Ofsted. Previous experience working with SEND is essential but does NOT have to be school based experience i.e. Youth Mentor, Youth Support Worker, Alternative Provisions/Pupil Referral Unit. Responsibilities: Work closely with teachers and other professionals to support students with challenging behavior in the classroom. Implement individualized learning programs designed to meet the specific needs of students. Promote positive behavior management techniques Assist with the development of personalized educational plans (IEPs) Monitor and track student progress, Provide emotional support to students, helping them develop self-esteem, confidence, and resilience. Create a safe and inclusive learning environment, ensuring the well-being of all students. Assist with administrative tasks related to student records and documentation. Requirements: Experience working with students with challenging behavior or SEND is highly desirable. Ability to manage challenging situations and maintain composure in a classroom environment. Knowledge of behavior management strategies and techniques. An understanding of relevant legislation and policies related to SEND and safeguarding. A relevant qualification or training in education, special needs, or a related field is advantageous.
