Role Summary
The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for providing leadership to staff and overseeing product development procedures to ensure that products meet quality and efficiency standards. The Quality Assurance Manager will also work with clients to ensure the final products meet their needs and requirements.
Primary Responsibilities
Leadership and Management

* Work with manufacturing team, engineering and purchasing to identify areas of improvement within plant operations.
Quality Assurance
* Manage and provide inspection activity for product throughout manufacturing process.
* Approve in-process production by confirming required specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and communicating required adjustments to the production supervisor.
* Development of staff through on-the-job evaluations and determine training requirements when below acceptable standards.
* Utilize Continuous Improvement methods such as Lean and Six Sigma.
* Partner with commercial accounts to ensure industry specifications are compliant and approved.
* Create, implement, and maintain systems for the identification and processing of non-conforming products from discovery to completion.
* Complete root cause analysis for corrective actions and fully implement corrective and preventive actions.
* Manage the modification and implementation of ISO 9000 standards.
* Demonstrated knowledge of working with and understanding ASME, B12 and ASTM specifications.
* Ensure compliance of raw materials to applicable international standards and customer requirements.
* Manage customer and end user audits including ISO 9001 recertification yearly.
* Keep measurement equipment operational by calibration and calling for repairs.
* Develop quality assurance plans by conducting hazard analyses, identifying critical control points and preventive measures.
* Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.

Competencies: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: Must be able to motivate and influence workers, well-organized, and have excellent problem-solving skills; should have good interpersonal and communication skills; should have good coordination skills, excellent statistical and numerical ability.
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in an industrial or scientific program of study. 3-5 years as a Quality Manager of an ISO 9001 manufacturing facility preferred. Prior experience with ASME, B12 and ASTM specifications, statistical expertise, and Lean Six Sigma preferred.

Employee must comply with all PPE requirements (steel toe, ear plugs, safety glasses, hard hat, etc.) while on the production floor. Production floor is not climate controlled therefore can become hot, humid, cold, etc. depending on season.
