Opportunity Overview
US Director, Field Access Managers, will be responsible for leading the Field Access Managers (FAMs) within Rhythm’s Patient Support Organization. This role will work closely with cross functional partners to drive strategic planning and execution of treatment access related activities supporting individuals and families living with BBS. This position will report to the Senior Director, Field Access and Distribution.
Responsibilities and Duties
1. Responsible for national leadership of Field Access Management Team
2. Lead individual and regional team performance to ensure delivery on key objectives established annually
3. Oversee day to day of timely pull through of payer approval process
4. Accountable for patient assistance eligibility and management of Bridge and PAP programs
5. Foster a collaborative and accountable culture, through provision of ongoing coaching and development to continuously improve skills and execution
6. Accountable for identifying regional trends and driving the development and implementation of short and long-term tactics and strategies
7. Develop and ensure implementation of effective business plans. Execute a compliant, tailored strategy by applying business analytics and marketplace knowledge
8. Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders
9. Provide strategic customer insights to the commercial team to help develop solutions for physicians and patients
10. Identify and lead process improvement projects to advance service offerings and deliver optimal customer experience
11. Ensure completion of all corporate and administrative responsibilities with high levels of efficiency, including Healthcare Compliance training, expense reports and other assignments by established deadlines
Qualifications and Skills
1. Bachelor’s degree required, nursing, social work or clinical background preferred
2. 10+ years’ experience working in Patient Support with 5+ years in Rare Diseases
3. Strong knowledge of US Reimbursement Process
4. Prior product launch experience preferred
5. 3+ years of people management experience with strong leadership skills in managing and inspiring high-performing field teams
6. Proven track record of executing strategic and tactical plans that have delivered strong commercial results
7. Self-motivated, highly energetic individual with the ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative and dynamic environment
8. Strong organizational and operational skills, with attention to detail and sound business judgment
This role is field-based. Candidates applying must be willing and able to travel frequently.
