University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS FT provides a supportive and caring work environment and is looking for an experienced, dynamic and outward thinking Operational manager to support the operational delivery of a busy maternity and gynaecology business unit.

You will provide leadership to a dedicated operational team supporting the delivery of Trust targets in relation to RTT, Cancer FDS, safe maternity services as well as supporting quality improvement workstreams for the Maternity and Neonatal Improvement Plan.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and senior operations professional to deliver on the Trusts and national delivery targets for maternity and gynaecology services.
* Direct line management of the operation team supporting the delivery of gynaecology and maternity services at the Royal Derby Hospital site, along with HIV services at Florence Nightingale Community Hospital site.
* To support and complement the quality and risk agenda for the Trust, work within a strict financial envelope to deliver services, use information and technology to support & improve health care delivery at the trust through informed decision making.
* Provide monthly and adhoc operational reports to assure the senior leadership team on the delivery of all Trust milestones, along with feeding back on local service initiatives and developments for both elements of the maternity, gynaecology and HIV service
* Link with ICB/JUCD to support GIRFT development, referral optimisation pathways and contribute to wider collaboration with stakeholders and partners in the region.
* Respond to complaints and PALS
* Support the out of hours Senior manager on call rota (SMOC) which includes week day, weekends and bank holidays.
* Assume responsibility for the personal development of the team that you manage. We firmly believe that the skills & knowledge of the team is the foundation of the service we offer.
