We are looking for a Graduate Planner to join our Building team in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire. You will work on a Ministry of Defence (MoD) project as part of a £259 million contract. Skanska is providing modern, sustainable, and future-proof storage solutions for over 4100 tracked & wheeled British Army vehicles, ready for deployment around the world, as part of the VSSP (Vehicle Storage and Support Programme) project.
Security Clearance: As an MoD site, successful candidates will have to pass high security clearance (SC). In order to pass, both UK and non-UK subjects must have lived in the UK for a minimum of 5 years.
What You'll Do:
* Assist with developing, maintaining, and delivering robust detailed project plans for the Delivery Team.
* Put together programme plans ensuring they capture the full project scope and that resources are considered and loaded as required.
* Work as part of the project team, utilising your problem-solving skills to overcome logistical issues.
* Proactively identify opportunities and risks in the plan.
* Monitor the critical path and key milestones.
* Advise the delivery team on any potential changes.
* Develop 4D animations of the project plan to aid digital rehearsal of the project construction.
* Ensure planning standards are maintained and published processes are adhered to.
* Appreciate and uphold the Health & Safety standards in all planning processes.
* By working closely with the project team and subcontractors, you will be integral to Skanska’s success story through monitoring, controlling, and adapting programmes.

* Studying towards or having completed a BSc or MSc degree in Civil Engineering (ICE accredited) or a construction-related subject.
* Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
