Fitter Apprenticeship Opportunity
Job Purpose:
We are seeking motivated individuals to undertake a comprehensive four-year training programme to become fully qualified Mechanical or Electrical Fitters in our Manufacturing team.
Key Features of the Apprenticeship:
1. Four-year course combining practical training and further education
2. Work alongside experienced engineers in a friendly team environment
3. Day release to training provider for Level 3 Apprenticeship in Engineering Fitting
4. Regular salary reviews based on individual progress
Main Duties:
1. Assemble complete machines and sub-assemblies to customer specifications
2. Carry out wiring of electrical components and control panels
3. Assist with testing of finished equipment and complete test records
4. Work within planned job times and provide feedback on deviations
5. Contribute to machine and process improvements
6. Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, assisting other sections when required
7. Support mechanical or electrical work within the maintenance team
8. Participate in installation, commissioning, and customer service teams on-site
9. Follow all company Health & Safety policies and procedures
Candidate Profile:
1. Genuine interest in practical engineering, demonstrated through projects or hobbies
2. Self-motivated with a determination to succeed
3. Curiosity about how things work
4. Passion for learning new skills
5. Ability to contribute effectively to teamwork
6. GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade C/4 or above
