Job Opportunity: Purchase Administrator Location: Gillingham, Kent Salary: Starting from £28,000 per year Job Type: Full-time Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9am-5:30pm About Us: We are a leading principal contractor specializing in cladding remediation, delivering high-quality, compliant, multi-million-pound cladding repatriations and regeneration contracts throughout London and the Southeast. Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Purchase Administrator to join our team at our Head Office in Gillingham. This role is ideal for someone with experience in a Buying/Ordering department. Key Responsibilities for Purchase Administrator: Enter pricing, material specifications, and project-specific information into Probe. Process Purchase Orders and Requests from site staff via Probe. Manage Plant & Labour Spreadsheets and update sites as needed. Liaise with suppliers regarding pricing, lead times, and deliveries. Manage the Purchasing emails to ensure all queries are addressed. Support the Purchasing Manager in obtaining terms and pricing for labour (Non-PAYE), site materials, plant hire, and skip hire. Process and send purchase orders to suppliers and relevant departments. Communicate with the projects team regarding material requirements, budget adjustments, orders, and deliveries. Update Probe with accurate pricing, project-specific mapping, and material schedule changes. Manage plant hire, including weekly returns, on and off hiring, and dealing with suppliers. Handle invoice queries with support from the Accounts Department. Independently manage queries and issues from start to finish with support from the Purchasing Manager. Perform other administrative duties as directed by the Purchasing Manager. Competencies of Purchase Administrator: Advanced user of Microsoft Outlook and MS Word; competent user of MS Excel. Attention to detail, accurate data entry, and an analytical approach. Excellent English language skills for handling telephone calls, visitors, and emails. Competent user of Project Probe (training provided). Strong communication skills, ability to work effectively in a team, and self-management. 3-4 years of experience dealing with multi-disciplinary teams, data entry, and query management.
