As a bid writer at NSS, you will be responsible for preparing and submit compelling and well-structured proposals, working closely with various NSS stakeholders to ensure information is accurate and received on time, contributing to securing new contracts for NSS. and the winning of additional b
Duties to include, but not limited to:
Principal Duties:
Research and Analysis: Identify business opportunities and gather information to understand the requirements of the bid.
Document Preparation: Write and edit bid documents/proposals, including pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQs) and invitations to tender (ITTs). Ensure all proposals adhere to the customer guidelines and scoring matrices.
Collaboration: Work closely with various departments and stakeholders to gather necessary information and ensure the bid meets all requirements.
Project Management: Develop and manage timelines to ensure all bid components are completed on time.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all bid documents are clear, concise, and compelling, and adhere to the company’s standards and guidelines.
Presentation: Prepare and deliver presentations to support the bid.
Tender Portal Management: Setting up new tender portals and ensuring company profiles are accurate
Raise / Review clarifications and communicate information to the relevant stakeholders
Manage Internal Systems: Ensure all internal systems and proposal are kept up to date and managed appropriately.

Bid Library Management: Keep Develop initiatives to ensuring supporting documents is to the right standard, i.e., key persons profiles contributing to comprehensive bid resource library
Continuous Improvement: Following up submissions to confirm outcomes, reviewing feedback and developing standard responses to ensure they are the best in class
Producing timely and accurate reports on all activity as agreed with management
Person Specification/Experience
Proven capability in planning, producing, and delivering compliant bids with the ability to manage multi-workstream opportunities – preferably within the public sector
Highly motivated, innovative with a can-do attitude
A level or higher in English, Communications, Business
Strong writing and editing skills.
Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
Excellent communication & Project Management Skills
Excellent knowledge of the other Microsoft Office or equivalent software packages: PowerPoint, Word, Outlook.
Previous experience of dealing with customers, and excellent telephone manner with clear diction
Ability to work independently and organise own priorities.
Has a methodical approach, excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills, ability to cope calmly under pressure
Ability to meet KPIs and SLAs
Ability to work with and across all levels of the business
It would be beneficial to have experience of the facilities management industry
