Rutherford Cross is delighted to be working with a global PE backed business, which has grown exponentially in recent years, to appoint a Group Finance Manager. The Group Finance Manager will be responsible for the Group month-end, quarter-end, budget and year-ends, as well as building working relationships throughout the Group with great exposure to the Chief Financial Officer and Group Finance Director. This role is part of the Group Finance team based in Glasgow and involves working with colleagues across the Group as well as the Group senior finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for Group month-end process:
* Produce Group Management accounts for distribution to Board and Executive Management Team
* Consolidate actuals and forecasts
* Oversee the accounting for the Group’s funding entities
* Provide analytics for CEO, CFO & GFD
Work closely with the Head of Group Reporting on the statutory close and quarter-end reporting:
* Prepare consolidated accounts and several disclosure notes ensuring compliance with completeness of disclosures
* Provide analytic information on Group’s performance to support quarterly presentations to external investors
* Act as main contact with respect to KPMG external audit fieldwork
Other:
* Responsible for consolidating the budget numbers and producing the budget pack to be reviewed by the Group Planning Team
* Carry out analytical review on monthly numbers and ad hoc analysis as required
* Provide technical advice on accounting issues under IFRS
* Implement process improvements and drive efficiencies in reporting
Skills and Experience:
* Experienced Chartered Accountant (or equivalent) with post qualification experience, preferably within industry
* Practical experience of consolidation packages (e.g. Hyperion, SAP, COGNOS, Tagetik etc.) from a user perspective
* Practical experience of foreign currency consolidation preferable
* Good financial accounting technical knowledge
* A team player who has the ability to communicate at all levels of the organisation, and who is challenging but tactful
* Ability to work to tight deadlines
