Firmin Recruit are an agency working on behalf of our established client based in Canterbury, Kent. My client is recruiting a Trainee Accounts Assistant.
My client is a well-established, successful, and forward-thinking Chartered Surveyors who have been established for many years. The role is to provide assistance to the Accounts Manager on aspects of the Canterbury Client Account and to help both the Student and Residential departments with any landlord, tenant, or contractor accounting questions.
Location: Canterbury Town Centre, Kent
Salary: £22,308.00 per year

The Role:
To provide assistance to the Accounts Manager on aspects of the Canterbury Client and to help both the Student and Residential departments with any landlord, tenant, or contractor accounting questions. My client is looking for someone with previous accounts experience or who is currently studying/completed their AAT level 3 or 4, who is seeking an opportunity to gain some accounts experience.
Summary of Duties:
* Banking (Cardnet, Worldpay, Cash & Cheques)
* Payment of landlords and contractors
* Arrears Management (Student)
* Prepare Landlord Statements
* Register Deposits
* Liaising with Tenants & Landlords
* Petty Cash
Suitable Candidate:
* The suitable candidate will need to have previous accounts experience OR be studying AAT at level 3 or 4.
* High standard of written and spoken English, especially grammar and spelling.
* High level of concentration, accuracy, and attention to detail.
* Self-motivated with a methodical and organised approach.
* Able to effectively prioritise and multi-task.
My client has a learning and development programme from day 1 so training will be given to the successful candidate.
