Job Title: Boy’s Pathway and Assistant Physiotherapist
Reports to: Clinical Director & Physiotherapy Support
Contract: Permanent, full time
Hours: Min 40 hours per week to include evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required
Salary: £28,500 - £31,000 per annum
Location: Cooper Associates County Ground, Taunton & other venues across the region

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Somerset County Cricket Club, to join our Sport Science and Medicine team. We are looking to recruit a Boy’s Pathway and Assistant Physiotherapist.
You will be responsible for delivering high quality physiotherapy and rehabilitation support to our Boy’s Academy, EPP and Pathway cricketers to ensure optimal injury management, recovery and return to play. By collaborating closely with the Strength & Conditioning and wider Sport Science and Medicine team, you’ll maximise the physical capabilities of our young cricketers, as they develop towards becoming professional cricketers. You will also be confident in managing your own case load to drive the Boy’s pathway provision forwards while being committed to professional development.

About You
Amongst other essential criteria, you'll need to have a BSc or MSc (Pre-Reg) Physiotherapy Degree and be a member of the HCPC and CSP. You’ll also have demonstrable experience within the musculoskeletal and/or sport setting.
To thrive in this role, you'll be approachable, reflective and empathetic with the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively. You are organised, diligent and motivated. You can work under pressure and have strong decision-making capabilities.
Given the nature of the role, any appointment is subject to a satisfactory enhanced ECB DBS check. If no ECB DBS is already in place, this check will be carried out by the Club. A level 2 pitch side trauma management and ECB level 2 safeguarding qualification will also need to be obtained.
Please note that working hours will include evenings, weekends and bank holidays, along with domestic and potential international travel.
