Description This fractional Finance Director role (3 days per week) is perfect for an experienced Finance Director seeking flexibility while still playing a pivotal role in driving financial strategy and operational excellence. As the business grows, this role has the potential to transition to full time. Working closely with the Board, you'll lead on all aspects of financial planning, reporting, and governance while positioning the business for sustainable growth and profitability. Key Responsibilities Lead financial planning, budgeting, and cash flow management. Oversee management accounts, financial forecasts, and statutory reporting. Drive profitability through strategic analysis and financial optimisation. Guide the business through future investment opportunities. Ensure compliance with UK GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory requirements. Act as a trusted advisor to the Board, delivering insights that shape business decisions. Profile We are looking for an accomplished finance professional with the strategic insight and technical expertise to drive the financial operations of the business. Professional qualification (e.g., ACA ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) Experience of operating in a financial leadership role within an SME growth environment Ideally, proven experience within a similar sector, such as energy consulting, professional services, or a broader business services environments Strong leadership skills, with the ability to develop and mentor teams. Advanced expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and analysis. Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills. Strategic mindset, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels. Resilient and adaptable, thriving in fast-paced environments. There's a preference for candidates to be based near Bristol, however, M4 Corridor/London will also be considered.
