Job Overview
We're looking for an ICT apprentice to join our team. Our ICT department has a proven record of bringing in apprentices and giving them the chance to learn and progress into our team.
If you have an interest in helping patients - by helping staff with their IT needs and want a hands-on IT job where you can get stuck in, then this is for you.
Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities
* To help install, maintain and troubleshoot network/wireless, telecom, PC hardware and software faults and service requests.
* Engage in 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support tasks in relation to the trust's 12,000+ users.
* To maintain application installation and configuration documentation.
* Monitoring issue tracking system and responding in a timely manner to tickets that have been raised.
* Troubleshooting and either resolving or escalating desktop or network computer issues.
* Performing software upgrades and installation.
* Software installation and configuration for new desktop, laptop and surface computers.
* Adding, amending and removing user accounts.
* Providing a friendly and sympathetic service to fellow colleagues.
* To log all calls and tasks on the Trust's call logging system, update and track call progress through to resolution ensuring that requests and faults are actioned in accordance with service level agreements.
* Carry out any other related and relevant duties requested by ICT colleagues.
* Conform to the Trust's Data Protection and Security Policy, the Data Protection Act and the Computer Misuse Act, ensure conformance to and promote the Trust's IT Standards.
Applicant requirements
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties, and as such, this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.

Experience
* Good clerical experience.
* Customer facing role.
Education
* GCSEs at Grade C, or equivalent, including Mathematics and English.
* Driving license.
