About the Department:
The Operations department is responsible for the programme management, manufacture and delivery of our Formula 1 cars to our customer, the Race Team. The functional departments within the Operations team work together to ensure that car components are manufactured/supplied to the right specification, quality and delivered on time to be transported to the Race Team.
Role Overview:
As a Operations Graduate, you’ll rotate through the various operations management functions, which include but are not limited to; Programme Management, Operations Planning, Procurement, and Inventory and Logistics. This role offers a unique opportunity to see all aspects of the Operations Management function and to have a real impact on change and improvement activities. You will work with and learn from talented and experienced team members, seeing what it takes to get a car to the racetrack and experiencing the thrill of playing a part in getting it there.
Your Responsibilities:
As a Operations Graduate at Williams, you will:
* Assist with planning and scheduling processes and activities.
* Perform daily tasks such as data gathering, system data updates and analysis.
* Collaborate with various departments to support manufacturing delivery.
* Participate in and support continuous improvement projects.
* Carry out process mapping.
* Support Operations Management activities, such as KPI development and Business Cases.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will have:
* Effective communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with others.
* Ability to work independently and with a 'can-do' attitude.
* Good organisation skills and the ability to work to deadlines.
* Logical and analytical approach to work.
* Good problem-solving skills.
* STEM related degree.
* Experience of working with business systems.
* Solid experience of working with Microsoft packages (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point). Share Point and Power BI experience is advantageous.
* Manufacturing/Operations experience through internships or personal projects (highly desirable).
