This is an exciting opportunity to work across our Northern Europe region providing legal advice and support on key topics including commercial topics and large construction projects, with scope to collaborate with some of the biggest names in the construction market.
Our Northern Europe region covers Great Britain, Ireland, Sweden, Finland and Denmark.

What does the role involve?
In the role of In-house Lawyer you will provide legal advice and support to support the above mentioned markets, with a strong focus on the GB market. This role sits at the heart of the business, working in real partnership with key stakeholders advising on: commercial and corporate legal matters including contracts with direct customers and distributors; checking and approving marketing information; product liability topics.
You will:
1. Engage and act as an interface with the Corporate Legal Department of Hilti Corporation.
2. Select and steer outside counsel as required.
3. Supervise court, tribunal and mediation proceedings.
4. Offer legal representation of the interest of the corporation in external boards and organisations, as appropriate.

Our Regional Head Office is based at Circle Square in Central Manchester, where we are located a short walk from Oxford Rd train station and St Peter's Square tram stop. What you need is:
15. Fully qualified lawyer with at least 3 years of work experience, ideally within an international/multi-national environment
16. Admission as solicitor or Barrister for England and Wales
17. Distinct expertise in commercial law within an engineering or construction environment and the standard industry contract frameworks commonly used to engage suppliers (eg JCT, NEC)
18. Entrepreneurial, target-oriented way of thinking; strong communication skills; team player with self-dependent work-style; ability to work under pressure
