Hoop Education is seeking passionate and dedicated Welsh-Speaking Additional Learning Needs (ALN) Learning Support Assistants (LSA) to join our team in the Carmarthenshire area. This full-time role involves working in Welsh-medium primary schools, providing essential support to children with additional learning needs (ALN), helping them thrive in an inclusive educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide personalised support in Welsh to children with ALN in Welsh-medium primary school settings.
* Collaborate closely with teachers to deliver one-to-one or small group support in Welsh, ensuring that pupils with ALN are fully engaged in classroom activities.
* Assist with the planning and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and monitor their effectiveness.
* Adapt resources and teaching strategies in Welsh to meet the diverse needs of each pupil.
* Promote a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere, ensuring all children feel supported and encouraged to achieve their potential.
* Support the social, emotional, and academic development of pupils in a Welsh-speaking environment.
Requirements:
* Fluency in Welsh is essential.
* Previous experience in a school setting, particularly supporting children with additional learning needs (ALN).
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a Welsh-speaking environment.
* A compassionate and patient approach when working with children.
* A valid DBS check (or willingness to undergo a DBS check).
* Relevant qualifications (Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent) are highly desirable.
