This post is also available as a Trainee post, commencing as a Band 7 whilst completing training and education. Once qualified, the Paediatric ACP will be promoted to a Band 8a position. They are responsible for assessing and managing unwell and deteriorating patients, in those areas of highest clinical acuity. They will work to a high level of personal and professional autonomy, using specialist knowledge and skills to deliver independent assessment, clinical examination, diagnosis, clinical decision making and planning of care and treatment, health promotion and safe admission and discharge of patients.
