About The Role
An experienced, data-driven and commercially focused digital marketing professional with 8+ years experience working across a variety of businesses (particularly retail). Proven track record of success in leading teams to drive growth & profitability. A senior client lead, supporting omnichannel digital marketing strategy/consultancy projects with particular emphasis on CRM strategies and customer loyalty. Providing a strong track record in tech and data strategies/implementation, integration, activation, and optimisation.
Reporting into Director of Group Accounts and Client Success, the role of the Group Account Director is to drive the business success of our Group Accounts, ensuring client relationship health, sound and effective strategies are in play, solid business outcomes are being achieved and business growth is solidified.
Core attributes include excellent communications and client management, well-rounded digital marketing knowledge, solid understanding of CRM and loyalty to lead client conversations and direct best outcomes, leading projects with a strong focus on customer journeys, behaviour and customer retention. In addition, to be the senior client liaison and strategic lead, an experienced technical (CRM) practitioner and motivational team leader.
Main Accountabilities
* Senior client lead
* Strategic lead across a series of accounts; able to grow the client revenue and profitability through integrated solutions
* Growth leader so proficient in new business and unlocking client growth across channels with particular emphasis on data strategies and customer retention
* Reviewing, supporting and feeding back on all output from the team with a high focus on client relations, strategy, successful delivery and outcomes
* Driver of robust and insightful omni-channel performance analysis which leads to transformational business results
* Leading all work scope and identifying strong ways of working across all client and internal teams
* Champion CRM and loyalty across the business, increasing awareness and understanding to unlock more growth
* Managing many stakeholders in a large business driving forward best practice
* Client and team escalation point for all matters across the work delivered
* Leading high level presentations to senior executive team
* Strong knowledge of digital marketing being well placed to support the team with any issues across all areas
* Leader in understanding the needs and challenges of the client and providing strong solutions and recommendations
* Responsible for liaison with third party partnerships, overseeing relationships, ensuring unified approach and successful delivery
Core Knowledge and Skills
* 8-10+ years agency experience in digital marketing – agency or client side, with emphasis on CRM and loyalty
* Experience across various industries including retail, financial services, travel, & automotive
* Excellent communicator & story teller for at all levels
* Pro-active approach to growing existing clients’ business through developing mutually respected relationships with key client and internal personnel
* A very strong understanding of customer journey strategies with emphasis on CRM and Loyalty effectiveness
* Well versed at creating and leading a team to implement digital and audience strategies
* Able to guide senior key stakeholders in their strategic vision, operations and questions
* Confidence and comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment
* Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
* Manage senior stakeholders to ensure the team and focuses are on track as well as aligned with business/marketing goals
* Able to positively challenge and manage expectations when working with multiple stakeholders at all levels
* Showcase the outputs of the team and be their chief cheerleader both externally to the client and internally to IDHL
* Experienced at mentorship and development of a team ensuring that they feel supported in their day-to-day work and their future growth
* Build the team and identify new opportunities to grow the business
* Drive education and channel understanding across internal and client teams
* Establish a team culture and strive to create a happy and balanced workplace
* Conducting appraisals and setting SMART objectives, in addition to regular 1-2-1s with team members
