South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Catering Manager to join the team at Rutherglen Town Hall.
You will be responsible for the day to day supervision of the catering and bar provision within Rutherglen Town Hall, this includes:
1. Public Café
2. Conference & events
3. Weddings
4. Parties
5. Meetings
You must have a proven track record of supervising and overseeing all operational aspects of events including conference, banqueting and weddings.
You must have experience of staff supervision, stock management, legislative compliance, health and safety, menu planning, food preparation, and various IT packages, as well as the ability to demonstrate good communication and organisational skills.
Previous experience of working within a customer focussed organisation and REHIS (intermediate level) qualified are essential.
The ability to lead a team in a motivated and enthusiastic manner is essential to the requirements of the post.
This post requires some evening and weekend shifts to meet the needs of the venue.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The catering manager will be responsible for the overall management of staff, stock, and ordering of supplies. They will be required to assist the chef with the preparation of food for weddings, the café, and any other catered events. They will also be required to assist with service wide menu planning, from yearly menu updates to weekly café specials.
