My client is a rapidly expanding manufacturing business. As a Supply Chain Co-ordinator, the successful applicant will enjoy being part of a vibrant team, working in an enjoyable atmosphere alongside great colleagues. This role supports the P&S team by maintaining flexibility in customer service and innovation in the market through supporting supplier relations & negotiations, process and procedure adherence, and continually delivering your best to exceed targets.
Location: Gloucester
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support the business in the ordering of key componentry and products to meet 'First Time In Full' (FTIF) KPIs for both Pumps and Systems orders, ensuring customer deadlines and financial targets are met.
2. Help build and maintain relationships with the supply chain, providing timely forecasts, advanced visibility of orders, and first-class communication.
3. Support overall P&S cost-saving initiatives, in line with business targets and raw material goals.
4. Measure and maintain quality performance of componentry from the supply chain, ensuring discrepancies are logged in accordance with internal quality processes.
5. Work closely with the Sales and Operations Teams to identify upcoming demand and provide feedback on areas of limited supply.
6. Be a key contributor to the Purchasing and Supply Mailbox, addressing queries from internal and external sources.
7. Arrange, log, and monitor imports from suppliers outside of the UK, adhering to the latest UK/EU regulations.
8. Complete availability checks for customer projects, communicating with various internal stakeholders.
9. Chase suppliers for overdue orders to minimize the risk of OTIF reduction.
10. Support the Purchasing and Supply Chain Team Manager in quarterly reviews with key suppliers.
11. Sourcing and onboarding of new suppliers.
Key Skills & Attributes:
1. Experience within a manufacturing environment and knowledge of ERP systems desirable.
2. Positive and proactive outlook.
3. Methodical with good organizational skills & attention to detail.
4. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
5. Maths & English to minimum GCSE standard or equivalent.
6. Previous experience in supply chain or purchasing highly beneficial.
