Job Description:
As an Independent End-Point Assessor (IEA) for Senior Healthcare Support Worker (Maternity Support) (Level 3) End Point Assessments, you will assess apprentices' competencies in accordance with the standards set by Pearson.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Participate in regular training and standardisation activities.
2. Maintain evidence of ongoing relevant Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
3. Assess candidates' performance according to published criteria and procedures.
4. Follow Pearson’s specifications and quality assurance protocols.
5. Maintain service-level agreements regarding EPA planning and operational activities.
6. Report risks and issues during assessments, including suspected malpractice.
7. Ensure high quality and accurate recording of EPA reports and evidence.
8. Support Pearson with any appeals from apprentices regarding assessment decisions.
9. Contribute to the improvement of Pearson’s end-point assessment activities.
10. Contribute to external quality assurance activities undertaken by Ofqual.
Person Specification:
Background and Experience (Essential):
* Occupational competence in the maternity support field.
* Registered healthcare professional or completed a level 5 apprenticeship.
* Working towards a formal assessor qualification.
* Experience in a healthcare setting within the last 2 years.
* Experience leading meetings and complying with quality assurance requirements.
* Evidence of commitment to CPD.
* Current Enhanced DBS certificate.
Essential Others:
* Only UK-based candidates will be considered.
* Minimum of two working days during the week required for the EPA role.
Background and Experience (Desirable):
* Internal quality assurance qualification.
* Experience making grading judgements.
* Knowledge of prevent & safeguarding.
Other Requirements:
* Personal IT equipment capable of running Pearson required software.
* Suitable broadband connection, microphone, headphones, and webcam.
* Personal and secure email account.
* Postal address in the UK or Republic of Ireland, Guernsey, Jersey, Isle of Man.
* Right to work in the UK.
