As a Logistics Coordinator, you’ll play a pivotal role in our mission to create a state-of-the-art cancer centre. Join our dynamic team and make a difference!
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of all deliveries to the site, stock areas, including collections of waste, transportation to its in due skips, ensuring the proper segregation of the waste and manage their authorized disposal out of the project. The role holder is required to develop and maintain robust relationships with suppliers, vendors, manufacturers and retailers and manage the entire order cycle to ensure project operations run smoothly to ensure that materials and equipment are managed efficiently.

Key Responsibilities include:
* Undertake and supervise all tasks and activities related to the logistics on site. This includes planning all the laydown areas, ensuring safe and organized access, segregation of pedestrian and vehicles.
* Plan and oversee future stages. Oversee logistics and transport services.
* Plan and organise shipments, and transportation out of the site.
* Operate IT systems to manage timings, costs and stock levels.
* Ensure plants are checked, by others.
* Deliveries addressed to the proper person to be checked and off loaded.
* Ensure the material is properly stored until it is needed.
* Manage the store areas and cabins and storemen needed to manage them.
* Have a clear understanding of the company's policies and vision and how the warehouse contributes to these.
* Coordinate the use of automated and computerised systems where necessary.
* Respond to and deal with supply chain communication by email and telephone.
* Supervise the monitoring inventory levels, conducting regular stock checks, and implementing procedures for accurate inventory tracking and control.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
* Right to work in the UK
* Bachelors / Master’s Degree in Engineering/ Manufacturing, Logistics / Supply Chain or equivalent qualification.
* CSCS Card - Professionally Qualified Person (White) or Construction Manager (Black)
* 10 years’ experience in a similar role (Logistics Management within Construction/ Engineering industry).
In addition to the above
* Proven record of successful distribution and logistics management.
* Proficient in standard logistics software.
* Attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
* Proficient with Logistics Management System Implementation and Auditing.
* Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Software packages: Word, Excel, and Power Point.
* Highly skilled in prioritising and organising.
* Ability to work independently and handle multiple items.
* Good leadership, motivational and people management skills.
* Excellent ability to negotiate to achieve the best price from suppliers.
* Outstanding written, verbal communication skills.
* Comfortable interacting with all levels of management in multiple areas.
* Establish, manage and monitor standards, processes, communications, training and systems to ensure all responsibilities associated with Logistics requirements within the organisation are adhered to.
