As a Chemistry Technician, you will play an important role supporting the safe delivery of experiments and practical activities within Chemistry lessons. This will involve preparing and clearing away equipment and materials and assisting pupils and teachers with the safe use of equipment. You will need to keep up to date with health and safety protocols in the department, as well as maintain the department inventory, undertake stock control and oversee the purchase of equipment and materials for lessons. You will also be expected to share your interest and passion for Science with students through the departments co-curricular clubs. About you Good, basic knowledge of Science is essential, as is some laboratory experience. You will need to be able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team, demonstrate practical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
