Are you an experienced cloud architect/developer who can assist our customers in design and development of cloud native applications and/or re-engineering applications that can fully leverage the AWS Cloud? Do you like to work on a variety of game changing projects, at the forefront of application development and cloud technology adoption? This role is open for Mumbai/Pune/Bangalore/Hyderabad.
In order for applications to be cloud optimized they need to be well-architected enabling them to reap the benefits of elasticity, horizontal scalability, automation and high availability. On the AWS platform services such as Amazon EC2, Auto Scaling, Elastic Load Balancing, AWS Elastic Beanstalk, and Amazon Elastic Container Services provide opportunities to design and build cloud ready applications.
AWS ProServe India LLP is looking for highly talented hands-on technical architects to help accelerate our growing Professional Services business in India. Professional Services engage in a wide variety of projects for internal customers and partners, providing collective experience from across the AWS customer base and are obsessed about strong success for the internal customers. Our team collaborates across the entire AWS organization to bring access to product and service teams, to get the right solution delivered and drive feature innovation based upon customer needs.
Key job responsibilities
We are looking for hands-on architects/developers who are passionate about:
1. Helping internal customers make decisions on their cloud journey and architect scalable, highly available application solutions that leverage AWS services
2. Assisting internal customers to architect and develop applications that are cloud optimized
3. Working as a technical leader alongside customer business, development and infrastructure teams
4. Assisting internal customers by sharing deep software development knowledge with respect to cloud architecture, design patterns and programming
5. Advising and implementing AWS best practices
6. Assisting internal customers in infrastructure and application development
7. Assisting internal customers in agile software development and DevOps
8. Assisting internal customers in implementing DevOps practices such as infrastructure as code, continuous integration and automated deployment
9. Experience of independently leading a team that delivers working software systems consisting of multiple features spanning the full software lifecycle including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance strategy
10. Experience in scoping development efforts, identifying risks, and prioritizing deliverables to meet the organization’s goals
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Technical degree or equivalent experience; Computer Science or Engineering background preferred; Masters Degree desired.
- 15+ years of application programming and/or hands-on technical application architecture experience
- 15+ years of experience as a technical specialist in Customer-facing roles.
- Ability to travel to client locations as needed (25-40%)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Extensive experience architecting, designing and programming applications in an AWS Cloud environment
- Experience with designing and building applications using AWS services such as EC2, AWS Elastic Beanstalk, AWS OpsWorks
- Experience architecting highly available systems that utilize load balancing, horizontal scalability and high availability
- Hands-on programming skills in any of the following: Python, Java, Node.js, Ruby, .NET or Scala and Agile software development expert
- Experience with continuous integration tools (e.g. Jenkins)
- Hands-on familiarity with CloudFormation
- Experience with configuration management platforms (e.g. Chef, Puppet, Salt, or Ansible)
- Strong scripting skills (e.g. Powershell, Python, Bash, Ruby, Perl, etc.)
- Strong practical application development experience on Linux and Windows-based systems
- Extra-curricular software development passion (e.g. active open source contributor)
