Timetable Planning Project Specialist

What You'll Do:
1. Be the lead on capacity and timetable studies, shaping the future of rail travel during engineering work.
2. Negotiate with Network Rail and Train Operators to ensure routes stay open and efficient.
3. Support colleagues with expert advice on timetable changes, always keeping the customer's needs in mind.
4. Communicate the impact of changes clearly, both internally and externally, using feedback to shape future plans.
5. Work closely with the Performance team to track and improve service delivery.
6. Collaborate across teams and with industry colleagues to optimise train plans and explore new methods of working.
Key Skills:
1. Confident negotiator with strong communication skills, adept at balancing business priorities.
2. Analytical, numerate, and commercially minded, you'll need to understand the impact of your decisions on company success.
3. Skilled in computer usage and spreadsheet applications, with experience in operational planning.
4. Knowledge of railway operations and timetabling, alongside a solid understanding of Network Rail's rules and company train routes.
