About the Role:
Ferrero is on the lookout for a talented and driven National Account Manager to join our passionate team, with a dedicated focus on Tesco, one of the UK’s leading retail giants. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of our brand within a high-profile account.
In this role, you'll take ownership of managing and expanding Ferrero’s presence across the Tesco portfolio, working closely with the Tesco Group Business Unit Controller. You'll collaborate with a wide range of internal teams and external partners, building strong, strategic relationships that fuel commercial success. From driving sales growth to shaping long-term partnerships, you’ll be at the heart of Ferrero’s continued momentum in the dynamic UK retail landscape.
Main Responsibilities:
As a National Account Manager – Tesco at Ferrero, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of our business within one of the UK's most strategic retail partners. You’ll lead the development and execution of robust, insight-driven business plans that align Ferrero’s Country Commercial Policy with Tesco’s strategic priorities across omni-channel and multi-format platforms. Your focus will be on delivering against ambitious sales volumes, revenue targets, and profit margins, backed by full P&L responsibility—requiring deep knowledge of trade terms, margin analysis, promotional investments, and budget management.
In this highly collaborative role, you’ll act as the main point of contact for all communications relating to your Ferrero brand portfolio. You will cultivate and strengthen long-term relationships with key external stakeholders including Tesco Buyers and Category Managers, as well as internal cross-functional teams, ensuring effective communication and alignment on shared goals. Your ability to build trust and influence will be critical in negotiating and implementing Joint Business Plans (JBPs) that reflect both Ferrero’s ambitions and Tesco’s objectives, unlocking mutually beneficial growth.
You will lead the planning and execution of strategic promotional activities, ensuring they are fully aligned with Ferrero’s commercial and brand guidelines to enhance visibility and sales performance in-store. Accurate forecasting of sales, revenue, and profit will be essential, along with timely reporting and insights to inform internal decision-making and adjust strategy as needed.
Working cross-functionally with teams such as Trade Marketing, Category Management, Finance, Demand Planning, Ecommerce, Marketing, and Net Revenue Management, you’ll ensure seamless delivery of your account strategy while proactively addressing any challenges. Additionally, your role will involve ongoing market analysis to stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activity, and changing consumer behaviour—translating insight into opportunity and maintaining Ferrero’s edge in a competitive retail environment.
Who we are looking for:
At Ferrero, we’re looking for a commercially astute, results-driven individual with a proven track record of success in managing top UK grocery accounts—ideally within the FMCG sector and preferably with Tesco. You’ll bring with you a strong foundation in building and executing Joint Business Plans (JBPs), full P&L management, and developing impactful growth strategies tailored to major retailers.
You should be an engaging and credible professional with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively across all levels, both internally and externally. Your ability to lead, coach, and develop teams will be key, along with strong cross-functional collaboration skills—particularly with Category Management, Shopper Marketing, Brand Marketing, and Net Revenue Management teams.
Analytical by nature, you’ll possess strong verbal and numerical reasoning skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is essential for reporting and presenting with impact.
A flexible, self-motivated mindset and a passion for driving results in a fast-paced environment will set you apart. If you bring cultural awareness and an interest in international business, even better—Ferrero offers a global perspective and dynamic opportunities for growth.
How to be successful in the role and at Ferrero:
We encourage all our people to think creatively to set personal targets and objectives and push new, better ways to work. Employee contribution and engagement at Ferrero is based on the individual, team and organization dimension, so should have the ability to work independently, as a part of the team and be able to build proper relations with stakeholders at all levels. A demonstrable consumer-focused attitude and autonomy in managing relationships will help you in building your position among stakeholders and achieving expected sales outcomes.
