We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and caring individual to join our Specialist Alcohol Service within Inclusion Recovery Hampshire, supporting people who use alcohol in making positive changes to their alcohol use.
In this role, you will utilise all of your expertise in providing a high quality service and care to your own caseload of service users, this includes being responsible for offering a range of interventions, care planning, assessments and supporting service users through their treatment journey and recovery ambitions - from beginning to end. The role will also involve outreach work in the local community and in-reach to those in hospital.
Working as part of our dedicated and multi-disciplinary team and alongside our prescribers, you will offer health support via testing clinics for blood borne viruses (BBVs), embracing the concept of recovery and keeping up-to-date and accurate records and documentation.

Main duties of the job
Full-time 12 month Fixed Term Specialist Alcohol Recovery Worker (working hours per week) across the South of Hampshire.
Provision of primarily alcohol treatment to Service Users within the locality.
Holding a caseload of service users and being responsible for offering a range of interventions to those individuals.
Supporting service users through their treatment journey from beginning to end
Embracing the concept of recovery and demonstrating this in your clinical work
Ensuring that your work is evidence based, up to date and in accordance with current policy and legislation.
Keeping up to date and accurate records and documentation.
Where required, supporting the wider team with duty or caseload management.

Qualifications
Essential
1. Foundation Degree / HNC in related field which may include counselling, social work, nursing, psychology, human resources, social studies
Desirable
2. Relevant training / Qualification in associated field oCBT oMotivational Interviewing oBrief solution focussed therapy oMapping techniques (ITEP/BTEI)
Experience

3. Considerable experience of working with alcohol users .
4. A commitment to and understanding of harm reduction & recovery approaches to working with Alcohol users who may also use other substances
5. Excellent communication skills and a willingness to promote service user involvement.
Desirable
6. Experience of developing and Delivering group work.
