Canine Partners' has an exciting opportunity for a People Administrator to join our dedicated People team for a temporary fixed term period of 6 months. This is an incredible role at a prominent assistance dog charity where your role will be a part of our essential work that transforms lives every day. What you will do: As part of the People team, you will play a key role in delivering a range of People related processes and administration. Working with our Volunteer Manager and Senior HR Advisor, you will provide an efficient, professional, and effective administration service, supporting the employee and volunteering lifecycles including recruitment, onboarding, retention, development, offboarding and leavers. You will be an ambassador for the People team and a point of contact for generalist People related queries; this is a fantastic opportunity for you to interact and work collaboratively across all parts of the charity. This role supports both the HR and Volunteering functions and will typically spend 3 days per week with the HR team and 2 days per week with the Volunteering team. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills in HR or volunteering. What we are looking for: Approachable, with excellent customer service skills. Excellent listening, interpersonal and communications skills. Keen attention to detail and accuracy. Good level of computer literacy - proficiency with Microsoft based packages or similar. Strong planning, prioritising, and organising skills. You must be confident working on your own, using your initiative and as part of a team. Understanding of General Data Protection Regulations and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and with integrity is essential. It may be advantageous, though not essential, for you to have previous experience working within an administrative role, experience using work-related databases/systems, knowledge or understanding of employment law, volunteering legislation, safeguarding, or health and safety. Most importantly, you will be passionate about the transformative impact that our assistance dogs provide to our beneficiaries.
