We are looking for a new member to join our small team to deliver a range of accountancy services to a portfolio of clients and manage relationships with those clients to ensure all compliance needs are met. This is a part time role with some flexibility to the hours offered (between 15-21 hours per week). Salary £25,000 - £35,000 (FTE) Holiday 25 days plus bank holidays (FTE) plus Christmas office closure 6% Employers pension contribution Responsibilities Prepare the financial statements for company, partnership and sole trader clients, using source documentation or third-party accounting software. Ensuring compliance with UK GAAP Assist clients in meeting their compliance and regulatory requirements Preparation and submission of VAT returns Preparation of quarterly management accounts, as required Advise clients on day to day accounting procedures and assist in developing controls if necessary Support Directors with formulation of accountancy advice to provide to clients Requirements AAT qualification or equivalent Sound technical knowledge and experience of accounting standards and reporting requirements for Companies (desirable but not essential) Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop relationships with clients in order to deliver an exceptional service Background in working in a Practice environment desirable
