Tesco Property Maintenance is looking for hardworking and efficient Maintenance Technicians to join our growing Property Maintenance Team! Our stores and offices couldn’t function without the support of our integral teams.
You will be responsible for
Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence whilst holding accountability for these key responsibilities:
* Manage a reliability program which covers all Automation in Tesco's most technologically sophisticated distribution and fulfilment centres.
* The reliability program will protect the business against all common failure causes and will include but not be limited by asset type, vendor, application or usage.
* Design and develop tools and software to track, monitor, regularise and trend performance on a like-by-like basis.
* Implement and roll out a specific audit program to build compliance and commitment from site teams.
* As a member of the core central Automation team, set and maintain the highest engineering reliability standards across our estate.
* Build effective relationships and communicate clearly with collaborators.
* Play a key part of the automation engineering team within Tesco for the UK and contribute to setting strategy and direction long term.
* Liaise closely with peers, identifying and using data to guide the long-term capital investment program, advising on standard methodology and accurate application wherever required.
* Be an SME on failure principles and workshop solutions, tailoring approaches to differing problems.
* Proactively ensure continuous development for professional engineering skills as well as those of peers, ensuring we're fit to manage and maintain to the highest level.
* Collaborate with vendors and contractors to cover all engineering and maintenance requirements, building efficiency, reducing bottlenecks, and growing reliability while advising on critical spares requirements.
* Manage budgets effectively and to target, always being cost conscious.
You will need
* Previous experience in the development and rollout of a business-wide reliability program.
* A deep understanding of failure principles, programs, and standard methodology with the ability to find solutions to individual problems along with influencing skills.
* Engineering qualifications and extensive experience in senior leadership positions within a large engineering function or business.
* Demonstrated ability to work dynamically, lead remotely, and contribute heavily to the setting and implementation of business-wide strategy and long-term planning alongside the Automation SLT.
