Business Development Executive
This role can be located anywhere we have hubs eg Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh, Leicester, London, Milton Keynes, Nottingham, Solihull, Stratford-upon-Avon, Lincoln, Southampton and Sheffield.

What you will be doing:
The Business Development Executive will play a key role in driving the growth of the firm by managing and developing business opportunities across various practice areas and sectors. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proactive approach to identifying and cultivating relationships, working closely with Super Team leads, team leads, and sector heads, supporting their efforts and driving business development initiatives.
The key responsibilities of the role will include:
Growth plan and strategy
* assisting in the delivery of growth plans and for various practice areas and sectors for the teams they support
* Identifying new business opportunities, including cross-selling and up-selling services to existing clients
* Supporting the creation of practice area sector-specific marketing collateral and campaigns
* identifying targeting initiatives and developing go-to-market strategies alongside marketing colleagues
* attending and leading relevant business development meetings
* identifying new areas of referral and planning how best to leverage those relationships
Initiative and activity management
* driving business development initiatives and activities forward, ensuring they remain a priority for fee earners
* researching partnership/sponsorship opportunities and working with the wider team to create event and activation plans, monitor ROI and challenge colleagues to ensure appropriate follow up is undertaken as part of the sponsorship
* fostering collaboration among fee earners across offices and teams
* Budget management
o developing, managing, and tracking the business development budget
o ensuring efficient allocation and utilisation of resources for business development activities
Communication facilitation
o acting as a conduit between the fee-earning teams and the marketing specialisms team
o working with cross-firm teams to identify opportunities in key sectors and markets
CRM management
o championing the CRM and acting as a super-user and encourage/support fee earner use of CRM.
What you will need:
o a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within law firm; experience in a professional services firm is essential
o excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with colleagues, stakeholders and third parties
o an ability to influence others at different levels
o strong organisational and project management skills
o experience in the use of Microsoft Dynamics or equivalent CRM is desirable
