Salary £32,240 to £34,320 + on call, overtime and bonus
Metro Rod works with various companies in the FM, Social Housing, Property Management, Retail, Industrial, and Leisure sectors. We are a fast-growing and dynamic business, part of the Franchise Brands group.
Founded in 1983, Metro Rod and its sister company Metro Plumb are leading providers of drain clearance and maintenance services delivered on a largely reactive basis. We’ve been clearing and unblocking drains for more than thirty years and are proud of our reputation for quality service and customer satisfaction.
The role will provide a wide range of emergency and contracted services to both commercial and domestic customers, centralised around our local centre in Cramlington.
What’s involved?
* Carry out services associated with our emergency services offering, including cleaning, clearance, repair, installation, and maintenance of customer assets.
* Deliver a high standard of customer service and technical expertise.
* Operate in accordance with H&S and Quality procedures.
* Maintain a high standard of company service, vehicles, and equipment.
* Accurately record completed work details via internal and client systems.
* Communicate effectively to ensure excellent service is provided at all times.
* Have a positive and helpful can-do attitude.
* Cover normal working hours and “on call” out-of-hours on a rota basis.
* Qualifications such as HPWJ, Confined Spaces, Street-works including a CSCS card are advantageous but not essential as full training is offered.
* Hold a full driving licence.
What do we look for?
Suitable candidates will display a great working attitude and skills related to the clearance, cleaning, and repair of both internal small bore and external drainage systems.
Candidates will be considered suitable if they reside within Northumberland, Newcastle, Sunderland, and Durham or the surrounding areas (postcodes of NE, SR, DH) to meet the quality of our service and demands of this role.
* Experience in commercial & domestic drainage is essential.
* Experience in drain cleaning, drain repairs, and patch lining.
* Drainage tickets including HPWJ, Confined spaces, and CSCS are preferred.
* Experience with CCTV Surveys and Lining is an advantage.
* Must have a positive, flexible, can-do attitude.

* Willingness to work occasional/unsociable hours.
* Must live in the Newcastle area.
