Relief Catering Assistant Salary£12.21 per hour LocationStoke, Stoke-on-Trent Hours per week0 Contract typeRelief The role As a Relief Catering Assistant, you will deliver meals and refreshments to customers and visitors with a focus on delivering a great service with high standards of health, safety, and hygiene. Youll be working across our clients catering outlets across Stoke-on-Trent in Meir, Bradeley, and Stoke. Job requirements Help the Chefs and Catering Team Leader serve high-quality meals and drinks, ensuring excellent customer service. Serve hot and cold food and drinks to customers during meal times, including breakfast, lunch, and snacks or buffets in the afternoon and evening as needed. Be aware of food allergies and dietary needs, and respond to customer requests and concerns. Assist with preparing and cooking meals safely and hygienically. Help manage stock and order supplies, making sure all food and items are stored correctly. Work well with the team to keep the kitchen running smoothly and ensure all areas, including equipment, service areas, pantry, and dining spaces, are clean. Follow health and safety guidelines to keep the kitchen and service areas clean and safe at all times. Help maintain records and logs for meal services and kitchen and dining area upkeep. What theyre looking for A Level 1 or 2 qualification in Food Safety and/or Hygiene (this is a plus, but training will be provided if needed). Basic knowledge and skills in catering, ideally from work experience, though training can be given. Basic skills in food preparation and service. A willingness to learn and develop in a catering role. A friendly and approachable attitude to provide great customer service. Flexibility with working hours and locations (you may need to work evenings and weekends on a rota). The ability to understand the needs of customers, including Village Residents, visitors, staff, and other guests. An understanding of the importance of following food safety and hygiene rules. A willingness to work well in a team. The ability to maintain kitchen equipment and service areas to a high standard of cleanliness. The ability to perform basic record-keeping for food production and service.
