This post covers teaching duties across two secondary schools.
Our schools are committed to striving for excellence in all aspects of school life and nurturing links with the parish and the wider community. We would like to employ a person who has a passion to make a difference to the lives of our children and their families, who is a good communicator with a real ability to inspire and motivate.
Sacred Heart Catholic Secondary School and St Peter’s Catholic College are part of the Nicholas Postgate Catholic Academy Trust, a family of 38 schools, and two vibrant Sixth Form Colleges. With more than 12,300 students and 1,500 staff, NPCAT is now one of the largest multi-academy trusts in the UK.
As the demand from our pupils grows for our creative subjects, we are offering this unique full-time Teacher of Art opportunity working across two of our excellent secondary schools to deliver outstanding art provision for the pupils of Sacred Heart and St Peter’s. The role, although split between two schools, will have set days in each school to minimise travel during the school day. As both schools are part of the NPCAT family, all systems and policies are the same. Therefore, the successful candidate will not have to worry about learning different processes.
We are looking for a teacher who has:
* A passion for providing the best possible education for all students
* A commitment to maximising achievement through excellence in teaching and learning
* A strong commitment to the Catholic ethos of the school and the promotion of Christian values
* A commitment to continual improvement
* The ability to inspire students and promote a sense of enjoyment of learning
* An eagerness to be involved with extracurricular activities in order to enhance the lives of the whole school community
Closing date: Friday 14th March 2025, 9am
Interviews: TBC
Both headteachers welcome visits to their schools. Please contact the NPCAT Senior Administrator Sophie Townsend via 01642 487100 or email her at townsend.s@npcat.org.uk to arrange an appointment to visit both schools.
Please refer to the back cover of the application pack for details of how to apply for this position.
Nicholas Postgate Catholic Academy Trust is committed to equality of opportunity, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
