As a Band 6 practitioner within MHRRS, your role is to support individuals reaching out to the service with concerns about their own or someone elses mental health when there is risk present. You will need strong assessment skills to quickly understand the situation, identify risks, and develop an appropriate plan of action. You will also provide guidance to Band 4 Support, Time, and Recovery (STR) workers, who will consult with you on all calls they handle. It is essential to stay informed about decisions made within the team to ensure the best possible outcomes for individuals and their support networks. When clinically indicated, you will be responsible for arranging a comprehensive mental health assessment for at-risk individuals. This includes collaboratively developing a plan to help them stay safe and access appropriate treatment, followed by liaising with relevant services to ensure effective support. Additionally, you will be required to maintain thorough documentation for all calls and assessments.
